Why this project matters

Addressing Healthcare Access in North Tulsa

For decades, North Tulsa residents have faced significant barriers to accessing healthcare. Life expectancy between North and South Tulsa ZIP codes differs by 10 to 14 years, one of the largest health disparities in Oklahoma. The area has historically had far fewer healthcare providers, leaving many residents traveling 20–30 minutes or more for urgent care, primary care, and diagnostic services. The Peak at Parkway is designed to help close this gap.

The development will introduce a state-of-the-art medical center offering urgent care, primary care, specialty services, and diagnostic imaging directly within the community. By bringing essential healthcare services closer to home, the project will make it easier for
families to receive timely care and improve long-term health outcomes.

Housing That Supports the Community

Workforce housing is a central part of the development’s vision. Phase One includes more than 200 residential units designed for essential workers, healthcare professionals, and local families. By integrating housing throughout the site, The Peak ensures that as investment and opportunity grow along the Tisdale Parkway corridor, the people who power the community can continue to live and thrive there.

A Catalyst for Economic Opportunity

The Peak at Parkway is also expected to serve as an economic driver for North Tulsa. Construction will create 150–200 jobs, while permanent positions in healthcare, property management, and support services will grow to 250–350 jobs at full build-out. Supported by a public-private partnership with the City of Tulsa, the project will reinvest new tax revenue into the community over time.

Together, these investments represent more than development—they represent a commitment to health, opportunity, and long-term community growth.

project overview

The Peak at Parkway is a transformative $65 million mixed-use development coming to North Tulsa along the LL Tisdale Parkway. Designed to expand healthcare access, provide attainable workforce housing, and create economic opportunity, the project represents a major investment in one of Tulsa’s most underserved corridors. Anchored by a state-of-the-art, two-story medical facility, The Peak will bring urgent care, primary care, specialty services, and diagnostic imaging directly into the community. For many North Tulsa residents who currently travel 20–30 minutes for routine healthcare, this development will provide essential services closer to home.

Workforce housing is a foundational element of the project. Phase One will introduce more than 200 residential units designed to serve essential workers, healthcare employees, and local families. By integrating housing throughout the development, The Peak aims to ensure that as investment and opportunity grow in North Tulsa, the people who already live and work here can continue to thrive in their community.

Beyond healthcare and housing, The Peak is expected to serve as a significant economic catalyst for the Tisdale Parkway corridor. Phase One construction is projected to create 150–200 jobs, with 75–100 permanent positions once complete and hundreds more at full build-out. Supported by the City of Tulsa through a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) investment, the project will reinvest new tax revenue into the surrounding community over time.

The Peak is part of a broader wave of revitalization occurring in North Tulsa. Alongside major developments such as 36N and the Peoria-Mohawk Business Park, the project will help support the region’s growing workforce while expanding access to essential services and housing.

Together, these efforts position The Peak at Parkway as a catalyst for healthier communities, stronger neighborhoods, and long-term economic growth in North Tulsa.
